A Mistake !!!

Nidhi lived in her own world, a silent and serene world. She had no one to share her feelings; still she was contented and enjoyed being alone. Sometimes she met people but somehow find herself disconnected from them. She had constructed strong walls around her with door, always closed. No one was allowed to enter into because she hated anyone intruding into her privacy. She strictly adhered to the rules of right and wrong framed by her.

One day someone knocked at the door. She got scared, but with little courage she peeped and saw a tall and handsome man. Before she could have reacted or stopped him, he dashed in. She was spell bound seeing his persona. His conversation exuded intelligence and his eyes seemed to emanate warmth which riveted her. Very slowly, her insecurities seemed to melt away and both came closer. She unleashed her emotions, fears, desires and broke all fetters and boundaries around her and kept on walking with him speechlessly. His sensitivity spoke to her heart and emated a feeling of oneness. She was on the top of the world. He had filled the void of her life. Time and again a counter thought would kick at the doors of her conscience and asked her if it was perfectly all right to allow everything to proceed the way it was happening. She ignored as she was enjoying the different feeling.

In a very short span of time she realised that the man with whom she was involved was no different than the selfish men of her own world whom she met earlier. The love which she thought to be platonic proved to be just frivolous relationship. She felt guilty and was ashamed.She cursed herself for committing a mistake and breaking the long followed rules of right and wrong. She was dismayed and cried in remorse .With heavy heart and shattered dreams she went back to her own world. She put the sign board “TRESSPASSERS ARE NOT ALLOWED” and closed the door firmly with the promise not to be opened again.
